Sri Lanka National Cricket Team 1996 World Cup-winning skipper Arjuna Ranatunga represented his team in 193 matches as skipper in which he won 89 and lost 95 in a nutshell.

Another India cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin is listed seventh on the coveted list with 90 wins in 174 games.

On the list of most matches as a captain in ODI cricket, Sourav Ganguly has maintained the eighth spot with 147 ODIs. During the process, he won 76 games and eventually lost 66 ODIs.

Graeme Smith from South Africa is placed seventh on the list with 150 ODIs. He successfully led the Proteas in 92 ODIs before facing a loss in 51 games.

However, late Hansie Cronje, who led South Africa in 138 games, won 99 for his country, is on the tenth spot with most matches as captain in ODI cricket.

In conclusion, Pakistan National Cricket Team’s 1992 World Cup-winning skipper Imran Khan has maintained the ninth spot after leading the Men in Green in 139 ODIs.

Imran won 75 ODIs and lost 59 fixtures during his 50-over tenure as a captain.
